Abstract

The research article presents the following research objectives: 1) To develop leadership in student youth leaders through project activities to enhance knowledge and awareness of the dangers of cannabis and hemp among high school students at Unity Concord International School; and 2) for students to become youth leaders in media production and dissemination to enhance knowledge about the dangers of cannabis and hemp among children and youth. By conducting research, the population under study consists of 20 student leaders, with the target group of the project including high school students grades 9-12, teachers, educational personnel, as well as individuals in the vicinity of the school, both within and outside the school, totaling 90 people.

The results of the research found that 1) Youth leader students developed leadership skills through the use of media production projects and creative activities to address the dangers of cannabis and hemp among youth in the community and family areas of Unity Concord International School, where learning about leadership includes creativity, teamwork, and project leadership; 2) Student youth leaders were able to produce media and distribute it to high school students of Unity Concord International School, who are both Thai and foreign students, enabling them to learn and understand how to prevent cannabis use in children and youth, as well as in community and family areas; and 3) Student leaders received knowledge and leadership training to monitor children and youth regarding the use of cannabis. The leadership demonstrated by student leaders can enhance leadership skills, contribute to future academic activities, and bring about positive outcomes for high school students in grades 9-12, teachers, as well as schools and community shops near the school that collaborate. The school also supports these efforts, leading to the issuance of policies and announcements that aim to educate society about the correctness of preventing cannabis use in community areas and families nearby the school.
