Promotion of Sustainable Agriculture Model Community Management According to Sappurisdhamma Case Studies of Large Plots of Longan Communities Nong Chang Khuen Subdistrict, Mueang District, Lamphun Province

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) assess the management level of the model agricultural community in the Longan Large Plot Community, Nong Chang Khuen Subdis-trict, Mueang District, Lamphun Province; 2) compare the opinions of farmers in the community based on personal factors; and 3) propose strategies to promote the management of a model sustainable agricultural community based on Sappurisa-dhamma principles. The research employs a mixed-method approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods, including in-depth interviews with 10 key informants and data collection from a sample of 363 participants.

The findings reveal that: 1) The management of the community based on Sappuri-sa-dhamma principles is rated highly in all aspects, with the highest ratings in un-derstanding the community (parisannuta), understanding people (puggalannuta), self-awareness (attanuta), understanding causality (dhammaÒÒuta), understanding consequences (atthannuta), understanding timing (kalannuta), and understanding moderation (mattannuta). 2) The application of Sappurisa-dhamma in community management has a statistically significant positive impact on the sustainable agri-cultural practices in the Longan Large Plot Community at the 0.05 level. 3) The proposed strategies for promoting the management of a model sustainable agricul-tural community include community planning meetings with active participation from residents, forecasting and preparing for future events, analyzing potential outcomes of technological changes, and training farmers in new techniques by ex-perts.
